Dog daycare pricing: ask what supports the rate
Compare contracts as carefully as care. A clear rate explains hours, food, updates, emergencies, and every possible extra charge.
Two facilities may advertise the same number of daycare hours while providing very different days. Capacity, staffing, cleaning, admission screening, and a quiet place for a tired dog all affect what the rate can support.

Ask what the rate actually pays for
Compare facilities with the same checklist. Include supervision hours, dogs per caregiver, rest, cleaning, feeding, medication, updates, and overnight staffing. A low price may exclude most of those services. A high price does not prove quality when a facility avoids explaining protocols or showing housing areas.
Request the agreement, cancellation policy, extra charges, and emergency authorization before paying. Save copies of what was offered. The strongest sign is not decorative branding. It is a team that asks about health and behavior, admits its limits, and explains what happens if your dog stops eating, is injured, or cannot tolerate the group.
